It all comes down to this for the second season of the Overwatch League. Only two teams remain and they'll clash for the right to call themselves the second Overwatch League World Champions. This concludes four stages of regular season competition, with the playoff contenders whittled down over the past month. It's now down to the San Francisco Shock and the Vancouver Titans.
The league has also said goodbye to the Blizzard Arena, as teams will begin to play in their host cities next season. This is the end of an era in many ways and Shacknews is here with everything you need to know, offering a full guide on how to check out all of the action this weekend.
The prize pool for the Overwatch League playoffs sits at $3.5 million, split amongst the top eight teams. The winning team this weekend will walk away with $1.1 million, while the runner up will receive $600,000.
Here's how the prize money will be allocated:
As noted, the final game will be contested between the San Francisco Shock and the Vancouver Titans, live from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. The game will be contested at 3PM ET/12PM PT on Sunday, September 29. Mitch "Uber" Leslie and Matt "Mr. X" Morello will have the call, while Alex "Goldenboy" Mendez will act as the event host.
The match will be preceded by a musical performance from Grammy award-winning DJ and producer Zedd. His set will begin at 2:30PM PT/11:30AM PT and can be viewed live on Twitch.
The Overwatch League 2019 Grand Finals will air live on ABC. Check your local listings for your channel. If you prefer to stream the action on your home computer, you can use either the WatchESPN app or the Overwatch League Twitch channel. The Twitch broadcast will begin with the Watchpoint pre-show and Zedd's pre-game performance at 2PM ET/11AM ET, while the ABC broadcast begins at 3PM ET/12PM PT.
If you opt to watch the Overwatch League Grand Finals on Twitch, you will be eligible to pick up cosmetic drops for your copy of Overwatch. You will need to make sure that your Blizzard account is linked to your Twitch account. See the Blizzard website for instructions on how to do that.
Here are the cosmetics you can pick up:
You will also earn double Overwatch League Tokens for watching on Twitch. Overwatch League Tokens can be used in exchange for in-game Overwatch League-themed cosmetic items.
The full Twitch archive of Sunday's match will be available after the event is over. Blizzard will also update the Overwatch League YouTube channel with the full match, as well as exclusive analysis.
