Dead End Job is a hilarious new twin-stick shooter you can pick up now as part of Apple Arcade's new buffet-style selection of 100 mobile games.
Take on the role of Hector Plasm, a pest control worker whose job it is to shoot at ghosts until they're weak enough to be sucked up into a vacuum pack. Sound familiar? It will if you're a Ghostbusters fan, because that's essentially what they do.
But Hector has to contend with more than jut a few ghosts – he also has to deal with his old mentor haunting him, as he's training his protege to save both individuals' souls before they're trapped as ghosts. That means heading out to restaurants, office buildings, and a selection of other wacky areas in a bid to save everyone from eternal ghost-dom.
So you'll strap on your trusty plasma blaster to defeat the ghosts and use a vacuum to such them up. Along the way you can nab plenty of items to aid you in your clean-up gig, all the while taking in a hilariously cartoony art style that looks like your favorite shows of yesteryear. It's also super colorful, if you haven't gotten that from it already.
Dead End Job is available now as part of Apple Arcade's $5-a-month subscription service. If you're interested in trying it out, you can get a free trial for a month to see if it works for you. But with over 100 games available, you're bound to find at least something you like. Let us know in the comments below if you end up taking the plunge.
