You've spent ample time using Link's Awakening's new Chamber Dungeon editor, but now you're ready to save your creation and share it with a friend. The Chamber Dungeon editor is the biggest new feature to come along in this heavily-anticipated remake, giving players a chance to put together their own unique dungeons. But what happens when you've created the perfect labyrinth? How do you go about saving it? And if you want to play a friend's dungeon, how can you access it?
Shacknews is here to help you get started on saving your dungeons and exchanging them with friends.
It is possible to save your Chamber Dungeons locally on your own Nintendo Switch system. On the dungeon layout screen, enter the menu and select "Record Arrangement." You'll be prompted to save your game on the system screen in order to permanently save your dungeon arrangement.
But what happens if you want to share your Chamber with the world? That isn't entirely possible. Link's Awakening has no online functionality with the Chamber Dungeon creator, so you won't be able to upload your creation online. However, there's still a way to save your creation and share it with a friend and that's through the use of an amiibo.
There are dozens of different amiibo in the Legend of Zelda series. Any of them can be used to pull out special tiles for your Chamber Dungeon creations. But more importantly, they're your best way to save and share your creations with friends. Talk to Dampe and when prompted, select the "amiibo" option. This is where you'll be prompted to upload any of your arrangements to any of the amiibo from the Legend of Zelda series.
If you need a reminder of what constitutes a Legend of Zelda amiibo, here's the full series, taken from the Nintendo website:
Once your Chamber Dungeon is saved, you can bring your amiibo wherever you wish or you can lend it to a friend with their own copy of Link's Awakening. To access a Chamber Dungeon saved inside an amiibo, talk to Dampe and select "Receive Dungeon." Claim your dungeon and take your friend's challenge head-on.
You are now ready to save and share your own Chamber Dungeon editor creations. We'll have more tips, advice, and tricks for Link's Awakening in the days ahead. Keep it on Shacknews for all of the latest guides and content.
