Trading gear in Borderlands 3 is a great way to help out other players and unlock some rewards. Much like the previous titles, trading returns, and it functions in much the same way. While it might be tempting to just throw loot on the ground for someone to pick up, it’s definitely worth taking the time to perform a trade.
Trading in Borderlands 3 is remarkably simple. All you need to have is two willing participants (you and someone else). From here, you can engage in a trade whereby one or both players offer something to the other. To perform a trade, follow these steps:
It’s a good idea to trade even if only one person has an item to give. It might be quicker to just drop the item and pick it up off the ground, but this provides no rewards. Whenever you trade, it will be tallied against the in-game challenges. The first time you trade, you will receive some Eridium, and then you will receive Eridium every few milestones thereafter. This is one of the few ways you can farm Eridium quickly in Borderlands 3.
Trading gear with another player in Borderlands 3 is easy. Simply approach another player, hold the appropriate button, and once they accept, you can begin trading gear and money. Trade enough times and you’ll also earn yourself some Eridium! Take a moment to look over the Borderlands 3 guide and FAQ for more helpful guides on every little area of the game.
