As you level up in Borderlands 3, you’ll gain access to new skills and abilities thanks to several skill points you can earn along the way. This allows you to really sort your own build for whichever Vault Hunter you’re playing as and gives you more control over your skills and traits. But what happens if you choose the wrong skill or just want to respec your character to a different setup? Well, thankfully, Borderlands 3 features a way to reset your skill points and we’ll go over everything you need to know about that in this handy guide.
If you want to respec in Borderlands 3, you’re going to need to make your way over to any nearby Quick-Change machine. These are found very early on and will allow you to do a multitude of things like customize your skin, head, and even set your Echo’s color scheme. There’s also an option to “Respec” found at the bottom of the options at this machine, which will make it easy for you to reset your skill points.
But what exactly would you want to reset your skills points, right? Well, to be honest, the best reason to change up your skills and respec is to simply try out other skills. Yes, you can unlock more skills by simply leveling up, but once you reach the higher levels of the game, you’re going to have a much more difficult time pulling that off. Keep in mind that every respec will cost you a small fee that is relative to your character’s level, so you’ll want to have plenty of cash on hand if you plan to reset your skills.
Now that you know how to respec your character and reset your skill points, be sure to head back over to our Borderlands 3 guide and walkthrough for even more helpful information.
