Unfortunately, you can’t make use of Golden Keys right away in Borderlands 3, but fear not, we’ve got all the details here. It should go without saying, but there are some early spoilers for Borderlands 3 below, so be warned.
Where to use Golden Keys in Borderlands 3
Golden Keys are a prime resource for getting your hands on some of the greatest loot available in the Borderlands series. To find the Golden Chest and start making use of your Golden Keys, you’re going to need to first play through the Borderlands 3 campaign until you leave Pandora behind and make your way up into the stars.
After you gain access to Sanctuary III—your massive moving starship—you’ll be able to unlock the Golden Chest onboard as well as make use of special features like the Lost Loot Machine and even the bank in your private quarters. With Sanctuary unlocked, head towards the front of the ship from the fast travel station. Follow the corridors to the right out of the crew quarters area and you should immediately see the massive Golden Chest waiting before you head down the main corridor that leads forward towards the bridge.
