Rations are a vital item that players will have to learn to use in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Not only will these items allow players to re-energize their stamina bars but Rations also offer various buffs and advantages. In this guide we’ll talk a bit about how to craft Rations, as well as touch on some of the buffs available when using them.
While some might just indulge in the various types of Rations available in Ghost Recon Breakpoint for their easy stamina refills, Rations can play a much larger part in your overall time in the world of Aurora. Each type of Ration that is available to find or craft in Breakpoint has a unique perk or buff that can grant players a small—but still useful—advantage over their enemies.
As you can see in the image that we’ve included above, there are at least seven different types of basic Rations available. These are the items you’ll be able to craft at the start of the game, though you can unlock more advanced versions of these Rations which offer higher perks using skill points. To find this particular crafting screen, players are going to need to make their way to a bivouac, which is basically a stationary area that players can set up camp.
Once you have located a bivouac, hold down the interaction button to set up camp and then located the crafting option. Here’s what the screen will look like when you first set up your bivouac.
As you can see, there are several options, all of which you’ll want to get accustomed to using. The Garage is where you’ll find different vehicles you’ve purchased, Tactics is where you can set up different presets for weapons and gear, Preparations allows you to do certain activities like eat or drink that grant you additional buffs. For the purpose of this guide, though, you’ll want to focus on the Craft option.
When you have opened up the crafting option, locate the items that you want to craft. Rations are in the second tab of the screen, and you’ll need to gather various items from the wild areas of Aurora to be able to craft the different items on show here. If you’re having trouble finding resources, you can unlock a skill later in the game that marks them on the minimap for you, which makes it much easier to find things out in the world.
Now that you know how to craft Rations, head back over to our Ghost Recon Breakpoint guide hub for even more helpful information about the game.
