Capcom is set to unveil a new Resident Evil title called Project Resistance right before Tokyo Game Show 2019 kicks off this September.
A teaser trailer is set to debut on September 9 on the official Capcom YouTube page at 8 AM PT/11 AM ET. The teaser trailer should at least give us some semblance of what the game is about ahead of the gameplay footage that will be on display at TGS 2019, which will be held from September 12 through September 15. Some attendees will get the chance to play by registration, but must be Japanese citizens, according to the official Capcom page for Project Resistance.
We haven't seen much about the game just yet, but a few leaked images from the upcoming trailer appear to show a four-player game much like Resident Evil Outbreak in which there could possibly be co-op missions to complete as well. That's the hope of fans at least, especially since Outbreak was beloved by a very specific sector of Resident Evil fans. It originally debuted on PlayStation 2 in 2003, and its sequel even made its way back onto Japanese private servers as recently as 2014.
We can't wait to see what the full reveal will entail, so make sure you check back here at Shacknews on September 9 so we can fill you in on all the finer details. With an explosive start to the year thanks to Resident Evil 2's excellent remake, we're ready to see what Capcom has in store for us next.
