The developers at Supermassive Games had a bold vision for Man of Medan, and part of putting that plan into motion meant tapping on the talents of several voice actors. As the game puts a big emphasis on drama and horror, the cast of the first entry in The Dark Pictures anthology had plenty of chances to flex their talents when bringing the characters to life. Keep reading to learn more about the featured cast members and voice actors in Man of Medan.
Here are each of the major voice actors and performance capture artists featured in the cast of Man of Medan. Game, TV, and film buffs will likely learn some new information with this guide, as many of the actors in the latest Supermassive release are relative newcomers to the voice acting scene.
The character of Julia in Man of Medan is voiced by Arielle Palik. According to a profile featured on the Reisler Talent website, Palik was born and raised in Sherbrooke, Quebec, and earned her DEC from Dawson College's Professional Theatre program. Man of Medan is her second voice acting credit behind Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and Palik has also been featured on television series Imposters as well as TV documentary Fatal Vows.
Brad is voiced by Montreal, Quebec-borne actor Chris Sandiford. Sandiford's first acting gig was on TV documentary Fatal Vows alongside Arielle Palik, and his other early credited roles include series such as 19-2, This Life, and Patriot. Sandiford would later land roles in Skal, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, and Cavendish, where he plays Dr. Green. The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan is his first video game voice acting credit.
Man of Medan character Fliss is voiced by Montreal, Quebec native actress Ayisha Issa. Keen-eyed movie buffs may recognize her from Immortals, which was one of her first film roles. Since then, she's starred in TV series 12 Monkeys, Dark Matter, and Workin' Moms, alongside big screen roles in Warm Bodies, Brick Mansions, and The Hummingbird Project. Man of Medan is her second video game voice acting role behind 2016's Far Cry Primal, where she voiced the character of Jayma.
Alex is voiced by Quebec-borne actor Kareem Tristan Alleyne. Some of Alleyne's earliest roles came in 2016, a time when he was featured in TV series People of Earth and Quantico as well as Ubisoft release Watch Dogs 2. He's since gone on to star in Fatal Vows, 19-2, 21 Thunder, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, The Magicians, and body-swapping sci-fi series Altered Carbon. After voicing Son of Ra in Assassin's Creed: Origins, Man of Medan makes his third video game voice acting credit.
The voice of Conrad is provided by Shawn Ashmore. Hailing from British Columbia, Canada, Ashmore is perhaps best known for playing the immensely powerful mutant Bobby Drake/Iceman in the X-men film franchise. Ashmore has large number of acting credits under his belt, including roles in films such as Underclassman, The Quiet, and Frozen, as well as roles in TV series like Quantum Break, Relationship Status, Conviction, and The Rookie. Man of Medan is his third video game voice acting credit following X-Men: The Official Game and the Quantum Break video game.
Pip Torrens, the only non-Canadian actor on our list, provides the voice of The Curator in Man of Medan. An English actor with a frankly tremendous resume, Torrens is probably best known for his roles in films such as Pride & Prejudice, Tomorrow Never Dies, and 2015 release The Danish Girl. With a list of over 180 TV and film roles stretching back to 1984, it's rather surprising to learn that The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan is Torrens' first video game voice acting credit.
The developers at Supermassive Games knew they'd need to make the game's sense of terror hit home. Suffice to say that the Man of Medan voice actors certainly fit the bill.
