The Epic Games Store is bringing users another set of free games later this month through the beginning of September.
This time around, after Fez runs its course, you can pick up both Celeste and Inside from the store for free. Having trouble deciding if either game is for you or if you should add them to your collection? We reviewed Celeste and awarded it an 8 out of 10. Here's what Ozzie Mejia thought about it:
"Those who are looking for one of the year's first true single-player challenges should look no further than Celeste. The team at Matt Makes Games has crafted a tough, yet not entirely unfair platformer, one wrapped in a touching narrative with some memorable characters. It's clear that a lot of heart went into writing the story, while it's also clear that Matt Thorson put his best level design foot forward. Some of the areas in Celeste were very reminiscent of some of his Super Mario Maker work, in terms of gimmicks, precision jumping, tricks, and difficulty."
As far as Inside, it's a thrilling platform with plenty of dark secrets in the vein of Limbo. You control a young boy who's on the run – from something – but what? It isn't for the faint of heart, that's for sure.
Be sure you pick up Fez this week and then click those "add to collection" buttons when the time comes. We'll try to remind you, but you may want to mark your calendars instead anyway.
