The International Dota 2 championships are currently underway, defining the future of the game's esport legacy. This year's International 2019 championships have alraedy seen the top esports athletes from across the world congregate in China for the chance to be crowned king. If you're coming into the action late, here are all the need-to-know details concerning current main event and playoff bracket standings for TI9 2019.

If you've missed The International 2019 matches this week, don't worry, you're not too far behind. The main event kicked off just yesterday on Tuesday, August 20, and the matchups will continue all the way through Sunday, August 25, 2019, at which point the Grand Final will decide who takes home the big prize.

As things stand as of the time of writing, the Upper Bracket is nearly complete. PSG.LGD took an early lead over Virtus.pro, while Vici Gaming clinched a win from TNC Predator. OG found a strong victory against Newbee, and Evil Geniuses trumped Team Secret in the quarterfinal. As can be seen in the image above, the semifinals see PSG.LGD going head-to-head with Vici Gaming, while the forces of Evil Geniuses are pitted against OG.

As for the Lower Bracket, Team Liquid scores victories against Fnatic as well as TNC Predator, while Newbee, Infamous Gaming, Team Secret, and Mineski are duking it out for the privilege of reaching Round 3.
