If you're somehow one of the last bastions of the video gaming populace who doesn't own a copy of Fez, you can pick up a copy thanks to the Epic Games Store for free this week.
The venerable indie classic is headed to the storefront this week and will be free from August 22 through August 29, so make haste if you want to ensure it remains in your collection. It's a pretty old game, originally having launched in 2013 via Polytron. You rotate the world around you to solve various puzzles and figure out where to go next.
There was a potential sequel in the works, but it ended up being canceled long ago. For now, you can enjoy the bright colors and simplicity of Fez as it's free on the Epic Games Store, then get ready for the next eventual free game reveal, which we'll work at figuring out before the official announcement. You never know how far back they're going to reach in the archives, apparently, especially with this little gem being spotlighted.
Be sure not to miss out on the games currently available on the Epic Games Store that are free now: Hyper Light Drifter and Mutant Year Zero: Road too Eden. They'll only be available for a limited time. Don't miss out, as you may as well add these freebie to your collection as long as they're being handed out, right?
