The Astral Chain release date for Nintendo Switch is almost upon us. PlatinumGames’ latest action game is gaining a lot of attention as fans get ready for its arrival. Because Astral Chain is a Switch exclusive, there’s no need to worry about different launch dates. Read on to learn when you can pick up your copy of Astral Chain.

Astral Chain release date

Astral Chain will be releasing on Friday, August 30, 2019. Players will be pleased to hear that there’s not long now until PlatinumGames’ next action title lands. This marks yet another Nintendo-exclusive title after Bayonetta shifted exclusively to the hybrid console-handheld, and the Wii U, with the 2014 sequel.

For those not in the know, Astral Chain is an action adventure title that puts you in control of an elite police officer. Part of the gameplay revolves around summoning a Legion to aid you in combat. The Legion is connected to your character by a chain, and is used to attack in tandem with your character.

Part of the process of improving your character will be honing your ability to perform combos. You will also be able to unlock skills, upgrade your Legion, and more.

Gamers on other platforms will be disappointed to hear that Astral Chain will not be releasing on other systems. That means it won’t be on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC. If you want to get your hands on this PlatinumGames title, you will need to get a Nintendo Switch.

Astral Chain’s release date – Friday, August 30 – is closing in quickly. Players on Nintendo Switch should prepare their console by clearing up the necessary space, pre-ordering the game (if that’s something you do), and organizing a bit of time to truly sink their teeth into the experience. Be sure to keep it locked to Shacknews for all your Astral Chain needs!
