Tim Longo, developer for 343 Industries and the creative director on upcoming release Halo Infinite, has reportedly left the company. Reports indicate that Longo's departure comes as part of an unusual internal restructuring in the months leading up to the release of the next game in the acclaimed Halo series.
As reported by Kotaku, Longo had been moved from his role as creative director to another as yet-unidentified role within the company just a few weeks ago, according to inside sources. His outright departure has only become public knowledge this week.
Microsoft sent the following statement to Kotaku further explaining the situation:
It's unclear what sort of impact Longo's departure will have on the release of Halo Infinite, if any. Rest assured that Shacknews will stay on top of the situation and report with new details as they surface.
