Video game fans with a penchant for retro-flavored experiences will certainly be interested in Children of Morta, the latest game from the developers at Dead Mage. To serve the widest audience possible, this new RPG is slated to release for all modern platforms, from current-generation home consoles to Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs. Want to know when you can get your hands on Children of Morta? Read on to find out.
Children of Morta will release for PC via Steam on September 3, 2019, and for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on October 15, 2019.
For anyone who may not have heard about the game, Children of Morta is a new action-RPG release from the developers at Dead Mage and the publishers at 11 Bit Studios. It's presented in a vibrant, retro-themed aesthetic, and follows the story of a family trying to hold itself together while the world around them plunges into chaos.
From the Children of Morta Steam page:
"Children of Morta sets its story in a distant land but copes with themes closer to our daily lives that one would expect. It is a story of simple emotions we all know so well and value more than sometimes we dare to admit: love and hope, longing and uncertainty, ultimately loss and sacrifice we are willing to make to save the ones we care the most for."

While no price has been formally set for the game, word has it that Children of Morta will sell for just $20. That puts it in line with other retro-styled 11 Bit Studios releases such as the excellent ARPG Moonlighter, which similarly launched with a $20 price tag.
Children of Morta won't land on all platforms at the same time: PC players will get the game on September 3, while PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch players will have to wait until October 15.
