If you're as excited about WoW Classic as we are, then you're probably already chomping at the bit to get in and reserve your WoW Classic character name. The good news is, reservations are now open, right now, and we'll walk you through everything that you need to know to get started.
Reserving your name for WoW Classic is vitally important for those who have been running the same name for a long time. Thankfully, the option to reserve your name in WoW Classic is already available, ahead of the game's official release on August 26.
To reserve your WoW Classic character name, you're going to need to have an active subscription or some game time on your World of Warcraft account. You will also be allowed to create up to three characters per WoW account before the game fully releases. There are, of course, some things that you will need to know.
First, you will need to make the character on whatever realm you want to play on. You should keep in mind that if you choose a PvP realm, you will only be able to create characters within that same faction. After WoW Classic goes live on August 26, you'll be able to create up to 10 characters on any realm, with a maximum of 50 characters on all WoW Classic realms. Any characters created during the beta or stress tests will not be available in the full version of WoW Classic.
Now that we've covered the basics, let's talk about how to go about reserving your WoW Classic character name.
