How successful was Greenlit Content's SDCC Esports Lounge livestream? It managed to draw a whopping nearly 750,000 viewers from around the world, which is definitely something to celebrate.
Over the entirety of the event weekend, the livestream produced over 41 hours of content, all while inviting influencers and celebrities on stream to take part in the festivities. At the stream's peak, over 16,000 people tuned in, pushing it to become the most-watched livestream on the platform at that moment in time. People couldn't get enough!
Fans eager to be a part of the action tuned in to see what went down at the Marriott Marquis Marina San Diego last week as Greenlit hosted its inaugural SDCC Esports Lounge stream in support of Extra Life and St. Jude's charities. The ReKTGlobal company managed to raise of $20,000 for both charities by way of its successful streams, while inviting attendees to hop into the driver's seat at the lounge to experience a cavalcade of new and classic games via Xbox One and Alienware Area 51 units.
Livestream participants had a great time taking in all the sights and sounds during the event. Mixer streamer TheLostDrake shared thoughts on the experience as a whole, which sounds like It was a lot of fun.
“My time at San Diego Comic-Con was one of the best experiences I could ask for,” said Drake. “Hosting the official Mixer Comic-Con Channel with GlitterXplosion and the entire team was not only a blast, but the fact that we raised a generous amount on behalf of The Children’s Miracle Network through streaming is humbling,” he continued. “My community, family and friends all came in and showed support and brought so much hype to this amazing cause, not to mention a tear to my eye, exemplifying the generosity and good we need more of in the world!”’
Shacknews was an official partner for the lounge, helping to make all of this possible, just like during E3 2019, where Greenlit Content and your favorite gaming website joined forces to bring you best-in-class programming during the convention. E3 streams as a result of this partnership ended up reaching a daily 19,772 concurrent viewers with an average of 6,689, which translated to Shacknews bringing in more concurrent and channel views on Twitch.tv than all other competing streams combined from publications like IGN, GameSpot, and PC Gamer. Over 530,000 unique viewers were reached during this week-long event.
