It's been a long, action-packed run for Nintendo's ink-slinging shooter Splatoon 2. Unfortunately, the time has come for the developers to move on to greener pastures. Before the final chapter ends, however, there's one more Splatfest to get out of the way, and this one is a doozie. Here's when the final Splatoon 2 Splatfest starts and ends.
The final Splatoon 2 Chaos vs. Order Splatfest will run from July 18 through July 21. During that time, players can align with chaos, represented by Pearl, or order, represented by Marina. As usual, the winner is chosen both by the number of players who join each team as well as the team with the most wins by the time the event concludes.
By now, Splatoon 2 players are used to Nintendo making a show of the game's many Splatfests. Considering that this is the final ever Splatoon 2 Splatfest, we're expecting Big N to ramp things up a bit. We do know that another concert will be held within the game's lobby, but players will also find that a new stage has appeared within Shift Station. In fact, each and every stage within Shifty Station will be playable throughout the event.
Of course, the final Splatfest arrives alongside the game's final updates. In this case, the Splatfest comes with update version 4.9.1, though players can anticipate update version 5.0 later this month. Version 4.9.1 is not a very big update, mainly revolving around the Splatfest itself, but there are some patch notes going over nonetheless.
The final Splatoon 2 Splatfest is live now, goading players to choose between the natural forces of Order and Chaos. This is to be the last Splatfest to land in Splatoon 2, so players would be wise not to miss out on the action.
