The latest update for Fortnite doesn’t bring a whole lot to the table for fans of the battle royale game mode, however, there are still some things to get excited about. In this article, we’ll discuss the patch notes for v9.30, as well as talk a bit more about the new changes players will see in each of the game’s modes when they install the update today.
This is the second part of update v9.30, and with it comes the new Drum Shotgun—which players will be able to find in vending machines, loot carriers, and on the floors of various buildings and establishments. The new weapon has a clip size of 12 and is available in Common, Uncommon, and Rare variants, dealing 45, 47, and 50 damage respectively.
Aside from the Drum Shotgun, not much of the Battle Royale mode has changed. However, Creative mode has seen an influx of new fabs for players to make the most of in their creations.

The Save the World portion of the game also gets some new things in v9.30 update #2, including new daily quests and free X-Ray Llamas, as well as the Light’em Up quest to unlock the Stars and Stripes Jonesy hero model. Players can also complete all of the 14 Days of Summer quests to unlock a special weapon called the Boom Bow. The 14 Days of Summer will be available until July 16 for Save the World, so make sure you dive in and check it out now.
