A big part of the fun of Super Mario Maker 2 is making custom courses and sharing them with friends. Course creation itself is made possible through the Course Maker mode, but users will have to take to Course World in order to run through other players' custom levels. Here's how to enter a Course ID in Super Mario Maker 2 Course World and start playing shared levels.
To play shared courses in Super Mario Maker 2, launch the game and head into Course World. This can be done from the game's title screen by selecting Play, then selecting Course World. In other modes, press the + button, then choose Course World.
Upon first opening Course World, players will have to create their own Maker. If you've already done this, feel free to skip to the next paragraph. If not, simply follow the prompts in making what is essentially a Mii, including name, face, and outfit. Once it's all complete, players will also have to agree to a few terms and conditions. Read them and accept to be presented with the Course World screen.
From the main screen in Course World, look for the Search button on the right — it's the one with the magnifying glass. Select it to open a menu where both Maker and Course IDs can be entered.
Within this screen, players can follow popular Makers and download specific levels through their Course IDs. Once the Course ID has been entered, users can simply play the level using the Play button, or alternatively download it to one of their 32 save slots. Downloading a level makes it available through play without having to search for the level again.
That's all there is to playing shared Super Mario Maker 2 levels. Load up the game and head into Course Mode, then enter the level's Course ID and either download or play the level.
