When creating their own custom levels, Super Mario Maker 2 players will need to set Clear Conditions. By using a specific menu within Course Maker, users can set conditions that must be fulfilled in order for the course to be completed. Here's how it works.
In the Super Mario Maker 2 Course Maker mode, Clear Conditions can be set using the Clear Conditions menu. It can be found on the right side of the screen, not too far above the Play button — it's the icon with a red flag sitting atop a green hill.
Press the Clear Conditions button to open a menu where the victory condition can be set. Within this menu, users can swipe between tabs using the L and R buttons, or by tapping on the tab's name using the Switch touchscreen. Set the desired Clear Condition, then press A or the OK button to confirm the setting.
Once the Clear Condition has been set, players will need to run through the level to make sure it's actually possible to complete. This is also part of the process of uploading levels from Super Mario Maker 2's Course Maker mode, so it's best to make sure everything is running as intended.
Players can make use of a number of different Clear Conditions using the Course Maker mode in Super Mario Maker 2. It must be possible to actually clear customized levels, so it's best for players to consider or even adjust their Clear Conditiosn frequently.
