The Spine of Keres Imperial Treasure chest contains a bounty of rewards for those that track it down. After completing one of Werner 99-40’s bounties, players will be pointed towards the Dreaming City. If you want to claim Emperor Calus’ generous offer, you will need to take a trek to where you first set foot in the Dreaming City back in September.
Finding the Spine of Keres Imperial Treasure chest requires adventuring to the Dreaming City. This area is no doubt familiar to many long-time Destiny 2 players, as it was one of the few ways to get powerful gear during Forsaken. As for the chest itself, it can be located in the Spine of Keres, which actually isn’t marked on the map.
Use the Divalian Mists fast travel point to load in to the Dreaming City. From here, you will want to angle toward Rheasilvia as opposed to The Strand. Instead of going right across the field, look to the left to spot a blue crystal cave and then go through it. Follow the path around, jumping across the gaps where necessary, and you will arrive in the Spine of Keres.
From here, you will need to follow the path into the Oracle temple in order to reach the lower section of this area. You should eventually reach an open section at the end of the last bridge before a series of rocky formations. The Imperial Chest is on this final area, tucked to the right behind some rocks.
Opening this Imperial Treasure chest should reward a Triumph if it’s the first time you’re opening it. You will also receive some Imperials, a rune or two, as well as the guaranteed powerful gear. In the event you need more Imperials, consider completing the Menagerie Triumphs, as each of them rewards 500 Imperials.
With the Spine of Keres Imperial Treasure chest located, head over to the Destiny 2 guide to find even more chest locations – including all Ascendant Chests!
