Dr. Mario is back with a brand new groove in Dr. Mario World, and you can now pre-register to get into the new mobile game when it launches this July. Nintendo has finally confirmed when you'll be able to get your hands on it, and it's a lot closer to release than you might have guessed.
Along with a new trailer, the game has been dated for release on July 10. The game will find you doing all the typical Dr. Mario puzzle-tactic stuff, like matching colorful viruses to eliminate them from the puzzle board. You've got to be meticulous about matching the viruses as they drop down from the top of the board, and put together combinations to clear things out. You get a limited number of capsules to play with, which means you'll have to be careful with how many chances you get. If you've ever played Dr. Mario before, it looks like this version will be quite similar.
The game will feature over 200 stages across various worlds at launch, with different doctors, stages, and other worlds added to the game on a regular basis after it launches. You can play together with friends and family via online multiplayer, then earn and receive hearts that grant stamina from friends. You can use them in Stage Mode after amassing a decent amount of them. Versus Mode will let you play against others via online one-on-one showdowns as they take place in real time.
Dr. Mario World is a free-to-start game like Super Mario Run, and it will be available on iOS and Android devices starting July 10. If you want to be notified when it's up for grabs to download, you can head over to the official game page and pre-register to get ready today.
This is the latest Nintendo mobile game to join the cadre of titles like Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Super Mario Run. If you're a big Nintendo mobile fan, this will likely be another game you can add to your rotation. Don't forget that Mario Kart Tour is on its way out as well, which will give players another way to enjoy their favorite Nintendo games on the go.
