Those looking to play through Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age on Nintendo Switch will be able to do so this September. Today, Nintendo revealed that the massive Dragon Quest RPG will be making its way to Nintendo Switch on September 27, 2019.
The Definitive Edition of Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age will include an expanded storyline, the ability to speed up battles, and even new rideable monsters for players to enjoy. According to the trailer, we’ll also be able to experience previous Dragon Quest stories through Dragon Quest 11 S, allowing us to drop back into older Dragon Quest worlds.
Last August, our very own Blake Morse took a look at Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age when it originally released in the west. He praised the voice acting, stating, “What makes DQXI truly stand out though are its colorful characters that are brought to life through the game’s fully-voice-acted script. While I’m sure that the various party members and NPCs I met along the way would’ve endeared themselves to me throughout my adventure, a fully voice-acted script didn’t hurt at all in expediting the process. Whether we’re talking about Rab the traveler who sounds like Scotty from Star Trek, or the sassy, no-nonsense attitude of the priestess Veronica, the ambitious undertaking of hours upon hours of voice acting pays off in spades as far as immersion goes.”
