During Xbox’s press conference at E3 2019, they unveiled the Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller. This new piece of hardware builds on the design and innovates upon the functionality of the original Elite Controller. Some of the details given really show off how this controller takes things to the next level. For example, on a full charge, the Elite Series 2 Controller can last for up to 40 hours. Players can also create preset button settings for different games. You can get your hands on it when the controller hits shelves later this year on November 4.
The controller is available for preorder now on Amazon for $179.99 USD. If you’re a member of Amazon prime, you can snag the controller for free shipping. If not, consider signing up for a free 30 day trial to reap the benefit of free shipping. The item is already tagged as an Amazon best seller, so be aware of the possibility that it may sell out if quantities get low. If you’re not a fan of the empire that is Amazon, you can also order the Elite Series 2 controller directly from Xbox themselves here. Xbox’s website promises free shipping and “hassle-free returns” when you order from the Microsoft Store. The website also lists some of the defining improvements with the new controller, such as adjustable-tension thumbsticks and wrap-around rubberized grip.
