Cyberpunk 2077 finally has a release date, and although it’s not in 2019, it is within the next 12 months. The game will launch on April 16, 2020 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This was all announced at the Xbox E3 2019 press conference today, where Cyberpunk 2077 revealed Keanu Reeves as an NPC character in the game, and that Cyberpunk 2077 was open for pre-orders right now for those seeking either the basic Standard Edition, or the Collector’s Edition.
Cyberpunk 2077 can be pre-ordered right now on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Marketplace, Steam, GOG, and soon the Epic Games Store for those seeking a digital copy. The easiest way to do this is by heading to the Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order website, selecting the platform you desire, a digital copy, and your region. The site will then give you links to the various options you have to pre-order the game.
It’s the same process for those that want a physical copy. Head to the Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order site and select your platform, then change your region, then select a physical copy, You’ll be directed to retailers that can hook you up, such as Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and even Walmart. You must set your region, otherwise you'll see retailers that aren't available to you.
For those hoping to get the Cyberpunk 2077 Collector’s Edition in physical form, the process is still the same. Head to the Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order website, scroll down to the section for the Collector’s Edition, then choose the PS4 or Xbox One. A list of retailers carrying the product will be listed for you with links to their sites. Unfortunately, there isn’t currently a listing for the Collector’s Edition on PC since the PC version, at least thus far, is only digital.
The Cyberpunk 2077 Collector's Edition includes the following bonuses:
While Cyberpunk 2077 is a game I’ll only play on PC, the Collector’s Edition is too good to pass up, so it looks like I’m buying it twice in order to pull that off. Of course, since the game isn't out until 2020, you'll have to find something else to play later this year, and our video game release dates 2019 is a great guide to figure out what you should spend your time and money on.
