Lego Star Wars is back and this time it’s going to be bigger than ever. At this year’s Xbox E3 2019 conference, Microsoft revealed our first look at Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, a massive collection that includes all nine of the main Star Wars films.
This is a pretty huge collection of games, all things considered. It will be fantastic to get to revisit all of the best (and sometimes worst) moments of the Star Wars series in Lego form. There’s no official release date to go off of just yet, but the E3 trailer did reveal that it should arrive sometime in 2020, which means we have at least a good few months to wait before we can dive in.
This is the first Lego Star Wars game we’ve seen released since Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens back in 2016. Lego has already done a really good job of transporting the science fiction series into its blocky form, and we expect that Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will provide the same quality, puzzles, and entertainment that we’ve seen in previous iterations of the series.
The last time we saw a massive collection like this was Lego Star Wars: The Complete Edition, which combined the original trilogy with the prequels. We’ll keep an eye out for more information about the upcoming Lego Star Wars game and be sure to update this article if any additional details drop.
You can keep up to date with all the latest video game release dates for 2019, and make sure you keep a tab open to our E3 2019 hub for access to all of this week’s breaking news, announcements, and game reveals. We’d also suggest that you follow Shacknews on Twitter, as we’ll be tweeting out all of our content, including live streams, new announcements, interviews, and behind-the-scenes bits from the show floor itself.
