A cinematic trailer was shown for CD Projekt Red’s highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 during Xbox’s E3 2019 conference. The cinematic showed characters in combat, along with some dramatic story beats. Without a doubt, the highlighting moment was when Keanu Reeves popped up towards the end. The beloved actor then took the stage to briefly speak about his time working on Cyberpunk 2077.
While the trailer doesn’t provide a clear representation of what the standard gameplay loop will look like in Cyberpunk 2077, we do get an insight to the personalities and relationships of the characters.
Many speculated that Cyberpunk was far off, and that it could even be a next generation title. However, we now know that it’s set to arrive on April 16 of next year, several months before the next generation of consoles release. This confirms that Cyberpunk will be playable on this generation of consoles, and one would assume that it’ll be ported to Xbox Project Scarlett and PS5.
