Nintendo likes to host tournaments based around there tournaments during E3 season every year. This time around, competitors faced of in Splatoon 2, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Super Mario Maker 2. With Super Mario Maker 2 not even on shelves yet, it was one of the more highly anticipated of the tournaments. Players went head to head in a series of brand new levels designed by the team at Nintendo Treehouse that mash up assets from the Mario series. In the end, it came down to Jirard the Completionist and AbdallahSmash026.
The Completionist and AbdallahSmash026 made it to the finals by working as a team in round 2 and knocking thedragonfeeney and Yellowkillerbee out of contention. In the final round, they were tasked with completing some objective based levels. While the competition was close, AbdallahSmash026 emerged champion of Nintendo Versus' first Super Mario Maker 2 invitational.
