There's a new MMO on the market aimed squarely at players with a taste for large-scale medieval battles. Called Conqueror's Blade, this new game comes by way of developer Booming Games. Intending to launch as an entirely free-to-play title, the developers have just released the game in open beta form, meaning PC players can jump into Conqueror's Blade right this moment.
As detailed in a press release for the open beta announcement, Conqueror's Blade is a way for players to engage in "epic siege wars or the formation of large houses." Here's the full scoop:
"A vast untamed medieval landscape awaits, as players create their own unique warlords from 10 diverse classes and head out to remold it in their image. Along the way, they will need to raise a powerful army, outthink their opponents during the territory wars and climb to the leaderboards if they hope to grow their lone campaign into a legacy."
To jump in on the action, all players need to do is find the Conqueror's Blade page over on Steam. Alternatively, users can download a standalone game installer straight from the Conqueror's Blade website. There appears to be no need to register before downloading, though users will likely need to register within the software itself before they'll be able to jump into online battles.
It's hard to argue with a free-to-play price point, and for players who can't get enough MMO action, Conqueror's Blade certainly looks to fit the bill. Jump into the open beta for free and start raining destruction down on your foes. If you like what you see, Booming Games already has two Collector's Pack paid DLCs available, and more information about them can be found over on Steam.
