Sea of Thieves tabletop RPG announced by Rare

Yo-ho, yo-ho, a pirate's life for you! If you're one to sail the high seas regularly online with Rare's Sea of Thieves, you're going to want to pay close attention here.

Sea of Thieves is officially entering the realm of tabletop games. Thanks to Mongoose Publishing, the Sea of Thieves Roleplaying Game is now a thing – and it's up for pre-order now. The Sea of Thieves RPG will give you "everything you need" to take to any tabletop and start living life like the pirate you've always wished you could be.

With rules that were created to quickly immerse you in RPG situations that favor problem-solving, action, and fun, you're equipped to get started right out of the box. You can get playing in minutes, according to Mongoose Publishing, and there's a sample voyage designed to help teach the would-be Gamesmaster and new players the rules as they start up the game for the first time. After completing this first voyage, pirates get their own ship to sail and set off on their own adventures throughout the turbulent sea.

You'll be able to hit up skeleton forts, suss out long lost secrets in the tropical islands, weather dangerous storms, and try to escape the deadly Kraken. It's all about "being more pirate," one of the core tenets of Sea of Thieves in general, and if you're a big fan of the video game, this should be right up your alley.
