Is Void Bastards coming to PlayStation 4?
Void Bastards has released on Xbox One and PC, but there are some gamers who wonder if it's coming to PlayStation 4.
Void Bastards is getting a lot of attention lately, and gamers across the aisle want to know whether it’s coming to PlayStation 4. With a lot of games getting cross-play these days, and titles releasing on multiple platforms, it’s not surprising that PS4 owners want to know if Blue Manchu’s comic book-styled shooter is coming to their preferred console.
Is Void Bastards coming to PlayStation 4?
At the moment, there are no plans in place to bring Void Bastards to PlayStation 4. Void Bastards has launched exclusively on PC and Xbox One consoles. The wording here is kind of tricky, while it's launched "exclusively", this doesn't mean it is going to be permanently exclusive.
It’s not good news for players who were hoping to experience the hilariously funny and explosive Void Bastards on PlayStation 4 anytime soon. Unlike the possibility of it making its way to the Nintendo Switch, there is no such groundwork in place for it to make the jump to the PS4.
The groundwork we speak of is the likes of Cuphead. The brutally difficult run-and-gun title from 2017 started on Xbox One and PC as a Microsoft exclusive, but it then ventured over to the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, it has yet to make its way to Sony’s home console.
So while the chances of Void Bastards coming to Nintendo Switch is slightly better than its chances of coming to PlayStation 4, you can never be too sure. In the event Microsoft doesn’t own the publishing rights to Void Bastards, we could see the developers make a version for the PlayStation 4. These things tend to take a while, so don’t hold your breath.
For those that absolutely cannot wait, Void Bastards is now available for purchase through Xbox One and on Steam. In fact, the game is currently in the Xbox Game Pass catalogue, which means you don’t have to pay the full price to play it!
