Users who have subscribed to Electronic Arts' Origin Access service now have some fresh games to play. A total of six new titles have splashed onto Origin Access, including Tropico 6 and Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, two relatively new releases that will be of particular interest to PC players.
Four new games are landing at the basic tier of Origin Access: Into the Breach, FTL, Shift Quantum, and Detention. Both FTL and Into the Breach were developed by Subset games, and are incredibly popular games in their own rights. Shift Quantum is a puzzle-platformer from the folks at Fishing Cactus, while Detention is a survival horror game developed by Taiwanese game studio Red Candle Games.
Users who have subscribed to the Premier tier of Origin Access will also get access to Tropico 6 and Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. Both are solid games perhaps best enjoyed on the PC, and it just so happens that I personally reviewed them both for Shacknews. Tropico 6 is still one of the best games I've played this year, offering immaculate city-building gameplay with an emphasis on politics and meddling with citizens. On the other hand, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden presents a more narrative-focused experience, injecting stealth gameplay and the need for proper planning into a richly-detailed post-apocalyptic world.
Players who want to check out some new games without having to pay for a full release may be interesting in subscribing to the Origin Access service. At just $30 per year for the base tier, users will get access to both new and popular releases at set intervals. Players can also opt for the Premier tier for $100 annually, the likes of which offers even bigger games as well as other various benefits. To stay fresh on the latest Origin Access announcements and games, keep it tuned here to Shacknews.
