Android Q is now available in beta form, but users previously had to own a Google Pixel phone in order to access it. Now that has changed, as the company revealed at Google I/O 2019 that a selection of mobile devices will soon support Android Q beta 3, including those not in the Google Pixel family. Here's the full list of compatible devices.
Google recently took to the stage at I/O 2019 to reveal that a total of 21 separate mobile devices from 12 equipment manufacturers now have support for Android Q beta 3. Beta downloads for the following devices are available starting today, May 7, and it's possible that further mobile devices will be added to the compatibility list over time.
Here are each of the mobile phones with Android Q beta 3 support:
Of course, given that Android Q beta 3 is a beta test, there are some caveats users should consider before diving into the latest Google OS. Its beta status not only means that it's only compatible with the aforementioned devices, it also means that users are likely to experience bugs or other errors. Installing Android Q beta 3 also involves a full system wipe, meaning it isn't for users who depend on their phones for work or other daily needs.
Assuming none of that is a problem, users with any of the Android Q beta 3 compatible phones can download the latest beta of Google's open operating system by heading over to the Android developers website.
