Players have been waiting to get their first proper look at Borderlands 3 for months, and the day has finally arrived. To keep up with all the buzz being generated throughout the video game industry, the Borderlands 3 team decided to put together a very special show. Not only did we get our first glimpses of Borderlands 3 in action, the venue itself played host to all manner of Gearbox-themed goodies, decorations, and more. Check it all out in Shacknews' exclusive look at the Borderlands 3 reveal event venue.
As can be seen in the video above, the Borderlands 3 reveal event venue was a very colorful affair. Neon lights bathe the presentation area in a swathe of otherworldly hues, blending perfectly with the glow of countless computer screens populating the gameplay area. Headshots of the game's most recognizable characters cover the walls, with life-size statues greeting attendants as they enter the fold.
Diving further into the depths of the event sees psychedelic neon-framed reliefs of gas mask-covered faces, and painted images of past Borderlands promotional materials flank a wall lit with blue lights from the floor below. Meanwhile, attendants wearing appropriately campy garb serve refreshments, and a massive wall to the back is covered in a montage of some of the game's most iconic artwork.
