The 2019 Hearhtstone World Championship brings the 2018 Hearthstone Championship Tour season to a close over the next four days. Be sure to check out our guide on how to enjoy this full weekend of action, as Blizzard gets set to crown the best Hearthstone player in the world.
The 2019 Hearthstone World Championship is set to award $1,000,000 USD, spread across a field of 16 players. Here's how the prize money will be allocated:
There are four groups, each with four players, which will play out with a double elimination format. The top two players from each group will advance to the Top 8, where it will be single elimination until only one player remains. Sets are best-of-five using the Conquest format, with one class ban.
Here are how the groups are constituted:
Group A (Competing Day 1)
Group B (Competing Day 1)
Group C (Competing Day 2)
Group D (Competing Day 2)
The 2019 Hearthstone World Championship will air live on Twitch from Wednesday through Saturday, starting each evening at 7PM PT.
Blizzard isn't offering too much in terms of Twitch Drops, but they are making earning those drops incredibly easy. Simply tune into the Hearthstone Twitch channel (or their French, Russian, Korean, or Japanese language counterparts) for at least four hours over the course of the whole weekend. Doing so will reward you with one Rise of Shadows card pack.
But that's not all! Blizzard will reward 1,500 random, eligible viewers with one Classic card pack for each hour.
Blizzard will regularly update the Hearthstone Esports YouTube channel with full matches that can be viewed on demand.
