Aching to take home a round of Capcom arcade games? Capcom has just what the doctor ordered with a new product it's just announced.
The Capcom Home Arcade is a new plug-and-play arcade stick that's shaped like an enormous version of the Capcom logo. It's packed with classic games that you can play directly by plugging the system into your TV – there's no need to buy any additional software or use a console, so you can start playing right away. You can see it in action in the official trailer.
Here are all the games you can expect to see with the system:
It features micro USB connectivity and HDMI output as well as on-board WiFi to upload your scores to leaderboards as well, so it's quite functional, if a bit garish and gaudy.
Here's the official description from Capcom:
"Featuring a pair of competition class Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT sticks with 8-way GT-Y directional gates and OBSF buttons for the finest precision, response times and durability. The 16 pre-installed games are from the original Capcom CPS1 and CPS2 arcade ROMs with emulation provided by FB Alpha, delivering an authentic & accurate arcade experience exclusively for the Capcom Home Arcade.
Break some high scores in single player, team up with a friend in co-op multiplayer or destroy them in a head-to-head battle. Then upload your best scores via the Capcom Home Arcade's onboard WiFi to a Worldwide High Score Leaderboard to see how you match up against other players across the globe."
It looks like it's currently a European release right now and will run you £199.99. There's no word just yet on a US version, but hopefully the US players get a better-looking console deck, because this is not the greatest setup, honestly.
