Google Stadia adds enhanced YouTube Gaming streaming features

Published , by Chris Jarrard

Bringing the business of games into the cloud is a priority for Google. At the company’s GDC keynote this morning, the internet titan officially took the wraps off its Stadia game streaming platform. In addition to offering the next generation of seamless game streaming, Stadia plans to offer content creators the ability to easily make content for their audience with a collections of advanced livestream capabilities.

Google’s Stadia leverages the power of cloud computing to help content creators and viewers form a stronger connection. A new feature called State Share will allow creators to mark special areas and game conditions that can be shared seamlessly to viewers to try playing on their own devices. The technology opens the door for new types of competitions between stream viewers or even between the content creators and viewers.

Stadia's advanced livestreaming capabilities have the ability to improve the connection between content creators and viewers.

Another feature that will be made available thanks to Stadia will be Crowd Play. Stadia users will have the option of clicking a button on a compatible Youtube video to launch the game they are watching on their own Stadia-capable device with no waiting for downloads or lengthy installation process.
