Square Enix has been very busy in getting the Final Fantasy back catalog out onto modern consoles. Previous games in the franchise have gradually been rolling out to PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Now it's time for the Xbox One to get these RPG classics.

During Tuesday's Inside Xbox presentation, Square Enix revealed a full list of what's coming to Xbox One, either through backwards compatability or through full-blown releases of the original games. Here's what Final Fantasy fans on Xbox One can look forward to in the weeks ahead:

All of this comes in addition to Square Enix's other recent offerings, like Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition. Interestingly, out of its full Final Fantasy library, Square Enix continues to make no mention of Final Fantasy VIII. Apologies to fans of Squall Leonheart.

Pricing details across these Final Fantasy games vary.

That's not the only Final Fantasy news to hit today. Earlier on Tuesday, Square officially released Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition, which offers up a lighter version of the 3v3 arena fighter and allows those users to compete against anyone who owns the full version of the game. Playable characters will rotate on a weekly basis, with the option to pick up the full $29.99 retail version available at any time. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition is up on Steam right now.
