The original Tetris was released in 1984 and has made regular appearances across gaming generations, but Tetris Effect and Tetris 99 are the catalysts for a major resurgence for the franchise. You can target enemies with garbage blocks, defeat enemies to get KO badges that give advantages in attacks, and participate in curated online Tetris 99 tournaments like the Maximus Cup that started today and ends on March 10 at 11:59 PM PT.
