One of the industries mainstays is celebrating 30 years in the game. Mad Catz, the American company known for its gaming peripherals, is putting out a couple limited edition accessories in celebration of the huge milestone. You're going to want to act pretty quickly, too, because these limited items will likely go fast.
Mad Catz has a lot of gear that it can pull inspiration from in its three-decade-long history, but the company has decided to focus on the R.A.T. gaming mice with a couple very limited editions. There's a limited edition version of the classic R.A.T. 8+ optical gaming mouse, featuring the Pixart PMW 3389 optical sensor, adjustable palm and thumb rest, removable pinkie grip, three-stage RBG lighting, and 18 grams of removable weights. The 30-year anniversary version will come in an exclusive metallic design housed in premium collectors packaging. Only 1000 of these will be produced worldwide.
The other 30-year limited edition product coming is a version of the R.A.T. Pro X3. Mad Catz considers it the "world's most adjustable mouse," featuring interchangeable sensor modules and an analog scroll wheel. It also has feet, pinkie rests, scroll wheels, palm rests, and more that can also be interchanged. This mouse will have a retro-classic metallic design and also only be produced 1000 times.
“It’s amazing and humbling to believe that Mad Catz has been serving the community for 30 years and we’d like to think that Mad Catz will be leading innovation and surprising gamers for many decades to come," said Selena Chang, Director of Sales and Operations for Mad Catz, in the press release for the announcement. "Our R.A.T. mice remain some of the most popular products Mad Catz has ever produced, and we felt it only fitting to deliver a treat for the fans in celebration of our very special birthday. Alongside the Limited-Edition gaming mice, Mad Catz have a full year of surprises in store, including promotions, contests and so much more. We urge gamers to keep an eye on our social media channels for up-to-date information.”
