On this week's Shack's Arcade Corner, we are taking a look at the old school side-scrolling arcade game Ghost 'n Goblins. The game was developed by Capcom and hit arcades in 1985. It was the first game in the franchise, and went on to be ported to NES. Ghosts 'n Goblins was known for its difficulty at the time, with your character only able to take one hit before dying on the second strike. It was also funny to see the main character run around in his underwear after losing his armor from the first hit by an enemy. There were some elements of gameplay that made the game even harder to play, like the inability to change direction midair, but Ghosts 'n Goblins is still an arcade classic that many gamers have fond memories of throwing quarters at. The series lived on with the sequel Ghouls 'n Ghosts and Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts. Please take a look at this video to find out more about the game.
