Stardew Valley Android release hits Google Play in March

Published , by Brittany Vincent

Stardew Valley is about to celebrate its third anniversary, so what better time to announce its arrival on Android?

Finally, Stardew Valley will be making its way to Android devices via the Google Play Store this March. Kiss your IRL social life goodbye.

This version gives you mobile-specific improvements that have come about since the iOS version debuted. You can save any time you wish now, even when you close the app. There's also pinch-zoom functionality available, which lets you zoom in and track down your characters or zoom out so you can see everything at once.

If you have trouble controlling your favorite mobile titles, you'll also be pleased to know that there are new control systems available as well, including virtual joystick and invisible joystick options, an action/attack button, improved auto-attack and joypad adjuster tool, and the ability to completely customize your onscreen controls to tweak them exactly to your liking.

The game will be playable in Korean, Italian, French, and Turkish on launch, and will eventually support additional languages, bringing the total number available to 10. They'll also be coming to the iOS version and consoles with an update later on down the line.

The mobile version was developed by the London-based mobile studio The Secret Police and will run you $7.99, which is a steal for all the hours of content it provides. If you can't wait until it launches on March 14, you can go ahead and sign up for pre-registration ahead of its debut.

Then when you get on the list, count down the days to playing on Android by downloading it on just about every other platform that exists. You can play it on just about everything, unless you've got your heart set on playing with a calculator. We may not be able to help you there, but it's cool to think about.
