One of the largest additions to Fortnite since its release was the implementation of Creative Mode. Creative works as a companion to Save The World and Battle Royale, where players are given their own personal islands to come up with and design whatever they want. Towns, races, obstacle courses, you name it. To do so, they'll need to learn how to place devices. Here's how the whole process works.
Creative Mode takes the groundwork laid by the Playground mode and builds upon it. Here, you’ve got unlimited materials along with the ability to fly around the world alone or with friends. The biggest draw to Creative Mode, however, is getting to design your own piece of Fortnite. You’ll have access to all of the assets, such as the structures and weapons found in Battle Royale. In the Creative inventory, tools are separated into five different categories: prefabs, galleries, devices, weapons, and consumables.
The devices tab contains some of the most entertaining items Creative has to offer. To use one, open your inventory, scroll over to or click the “Devices” tab, then select an item. Exit the Creative inventory and you’ll see the selected device in the traps section of your play inventory. Switch to the trap and place it wherever you like. Be aware that the devices are added to your inventory in small quantities, so if you’re trying to take out more than one Driftboard at once, make sure you’re selecting “equip” multiple times.
Now that you’ve gotten the hang of placing devices in Creative Mode, it’s time to let your imagination run wild. Let those creative juices flow and you could find your creation on The Block, a location where fan-made content can be played by all on the Battle Royale map. Epic Games recently announced Fortnite World Cup 2019, details on the tournament and its $100 million dollar prize pool can be found here.
