It's easy to overlook convenience and ergonomics when it comes to work flow and gaming, but that's not to say the two aren't important. Having a solid desk setup not only looks cool, it provides a comfortable place for players to get down to business, be it for work or for leisure. Fortunately, the team at gaming desk manufacturer Respawn have two new gaming tables topped with extra wide mouse pads that should help players get into the zone.
Labeled the Respawn-1048 and the Respawn-1063, the new options are specifically being touted as tables, not as desks. There's no doubt that many players enjoy options like speaker stands and cup holders on Respawn's other gaming desks, but the two new offerings are much more simple in design. The 1048 and 1063 are 48 inches wide and 63 inches wide, respectively, and both are covered in a 5mm-thick mouse pad, offering what very well may be the longest and widest gaming mat on the modern market. For a point of comparison, at 63 inches wide and around 31 inches long, the mouse pad on the Respawn-1063 is more than twice the overall dimensions of Razer's extended size Goliathus gaming mat.
The rest of the 1048 and 1063 design is similarly focused on simplicity: 28.54-inch tall T-legs are fixed to metal support beams for extra stability, grommet holes are placed across three areas for convenient cable management options, and adjustable leveling guides are included to help players cope with uneven flooring. The whole thing is so sturdy that it's even rated to a 200-pound weight capacity, though we can't imagine too many player's PC rigs will come close to that figure.
The Respawn 1048 and 1063 gaming mouse pad tables are available for purchase now from the official Respawn website. The Respawn-1048 retails for $325, while the larger Respawn-1063 retails for $350. Both tables carry Respawn's OFM limited lifetime warranty, and the company is currently offering free ground shipping on all orders throughout the contiguous United States.
