If you want to get the best armor, weapons and other gear in Anthem, then you’re going to need to know how to get the best materials out there. Ember is just one of a few crafting materials you’ll need to farm for if you want to craft new items. Thankfully, there are a few different ways you can find and farm Ember, and this guide will showcase the easiest way to stock up on this vital component quickly.

What is Ember?

Ember, as stated above, is one of a few vital crafting materials that you can collect and farm in Anthem. It’s one of the few crafting components that you will need for pretty much every item that you craft, so knowing how to find it easily and quickly is going to be extremely important. There are a few different levels of Ember available in Anthem, and you will need Ember that matches the rarity of the items you want to craft. Now that you know what Ember is, let’s touch on the best ways to farm for it.

How to Farm Ember

There are a few different ways you can gather Ember, though some will work better than others. The first way that we’re going to cover is also a good way to level up quickly, which means you can knock out two birds with one stone.

Freeplay Missions and Exploration

If you don’t want to focus too heavily on grinding, then one of the better ways to collect more Ember is going to be to load up a Freeplay mission and just explore the world. You can easily do this with your squad, and you’ll need to be on the lookout for various chests, resource nodes, and even public events. Embers can be gathered from all of the items we just listed, which gives you a nice array of ways to farm while you also level up and gain experience.

Dismantling Weapons and Gear

The second way you can get your hands on more Ember is through dismantling various items like weapons and Javelin gear. Each one of these items will net you a few different materials after you salvage them, which makes this a useful way to collect Ember while also cleaning out your vault. This is actually a key part of the gameplay cycle in Anthem, and you’ll be finding quite a few pieces of gear each mission that you probably won’t need.

You can see how many Ember you have by visiting the Vault.

Complete Challenges

Outside of missions and Freeplay exploration, you can also take on various Challenges. These tasks will reward you with different items like Coins, Weapon Parts and even Ember pieces of different rarity. You can view your current Challenges at any time through the Cortex, so make sure you’re keeping a check on them often so that you can focus on the Challenges that give you the materials and items you need.

You should now have everything you need to farm for Ember and stock up on this vital crafting material. For more help, visit our Anthem guide.
