Every year, the Steam community comes together to vote on a collection of games across multiple categories and determine what games were the best of the best in a given year. Other than a couple picks, the categories change every year, offering a different type of spotlight each time around.
Today, Steam revealed The Steam Awards 2018 winners and, despite so many new and fresh faces stepping into the battle royale genre, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds walked away with top honors. While digging into the list of community-voted award winners, check out all of the Shacknews Awards 2018 winners including the Top 10 Games of the Year for 2018. Below you'll all the nominees, winners, and the descriptions the Steam staff wrote category.
