We're not long out from the launch of Anthem, and that means it's time for a launch trailer.
Electronic Arts and BioWare released a launch trailer surprisingly bereft of a slowed-down, somber pop song today that showcases the power of the Javelin and how you can use it to make pain rain down on your enemies throughout the game. It also plays up being a Freelancer, which is a lot different than being a freelancer in real life.
Anthem is set to drop worldwide on February 22 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. If you're an Origin Premier member, you can play the full game first with unlimited access starting on February 15. That's not much longer to wait, so make sure you get ready and squad up before the game debuts.
We've gone hands-on with Anthem in the past, and most recently our own Ozzie Mejia took to its endgame content to give it a spin.
"It remains to be seen how rewarding the end game will feel. Epic items dropped frequently from downed enemies, but it's difficult to get a sense of whether the end game rewards will feel worth the time and effort," wrote Ozzie of the experience.
The first access period for fans to dig into the game didn't exactly go over well, so hopefully when the full game is finally available for purchase and everyone is able to strap into their Javelins, the experience has been improved tenfold. At the very least, hopefully the servers will be able to take the full brunt of everyone being online at once – but if error codes do come knocking, you know we'll be here to let you know how to fix it or what you can do about it.
Keep it locked to Shacknews for additional updates and coverage of all things Anthem.
