Skybound Games and Beamdog bring classic PC RPGs to consoles

Looking to reach back into your gaming back catalogue and play some classic old games? Skybound Games and Beamdog have you covered.

Awesome classic PC RPGs Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate ll, Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment and Neverwinter Nights are all coming to consoles in 2019 thanks to this exclusive publishing deal. Beamdog has in the past worked to bring enhanced versions of games like Baldur's Gate and Planescape: Torment to fans old and new on PC in the past. Now, six of their fan-favorite games will be coming to consoles for the first time, which is definitely big news.

“These games are iconic, including Baldur’s Gate, which has really set the standard for Dungeons & Dragons computer roleplaying games,” said Skybound Games CEO Ian Howe. “We’re excited to bring Beamdog’s incredible slate to new platforms for both the dedicated fan and those who will soon discover these adventures for the first time. As longtime fans of Baldur’s Gate and Dungeons & Dragons, it’s fantastic to partner with Beamdog as the newest member of the Skybound family.”

As far as the games coming to consoles, we don't have specific platforms or details on the releases just yet, but the mere news that it's happening at all should get loyal PC diehards mouths' watering. We know we're ready to see these iconic titles coming to consoles, as it's about time.
