If you haven’t followed the news about Respawn Entertainment’s latest shooter, then you might be one of the people scratching their heads wondering if the Titanfall-related title is going to make its way to console, and if it is, which consoles will it appear on?
The answer here is a massive resounding YES. In fact, Apex Legends released for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 all at the same time, which means you can dive into the game on your platform of choice right now. The game is also free to play on all consoles, though there are some microtransactions within that you can spend some real-world money on if you’d like to unlock some additional heroes or cosmetic items.
Respawn’s spin-off from the Titanfall series has already met quite a bit of success, managing to pull in one million users in its first 8 hours. If you haven’t tried it out just yet, then it’s available for free on the PlayStation Store, Xbox One Store, and via Origin for PC players. Electronic Arts and Respawn have big plans for their battle royale game, and I myself have spent a good couple of hours playing the game thus far. There’s a lot to like about it, and while it does have it’s issues, it’s probably one of the more promising battle royale experiences we’ve seen crop up in the wake of huge success stories like Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
There still isn’t much information available on whether Apex Legends will come to Nintendo Switch, though Respawn hasn’t COMPLETELY ruled the possibility out, they just don’t have much to say about it right now.
